Stocks to Watch Today: The Sensex and Nifty are expected to open higher on Friday, ahead of the long Christmas weekend. At 7:30 a.m., the Gift Nifty futures were up 30 points at 21,382 over the previous close of the Nifty futures. Overnight in the United States, the Nasdaq rose 1.3 percent, the S&P 500 rose 1%, and the Dow Jones rose 0.9 percent.
Asian stocks rose as well. The Nikkei 225 index in Japan climbed 0.2%. The S&P/ASX 200 in Australia and the Kopsi in South Korea both increased by up to 0.3%. The Hang Seng gained 0.3% as well.
Adani Green: According to Bloomberg, Gautam Adani and his family plan to invest $1 billion in the conglomerate's renewable energy subsidiary.
Tata Motors DVR: The BSE and NSE have authorized the cancellation and allotment of Tata Motors' 'A' ordinary shares (DVR). The scheme of arrangement between the corporation, shareholders, and creditors was also accepted by exchanges.
Zomato: The corporation has stated that it does not intend to pay $2 billion for logistics aggregator Shiprocket.
LIC: State-owned corporation According to LIC, the Finance Ministry has granted it a one-time exemption from the 25% public shareholding restriction. LIC went public on May 17, 2022, which meant it had to meet the 25% MPS guideline by 2027. However, it has been granted a 10-year extension and must meet the conditions by May 2032.
Allcargo Logistics and Allcargo Gati's boards of directors authorized company reorganization on Thursday. According to the plan, the International Supply Chain (ISC) business will be spun out into a new company called Allcargo ECU Ltd. It further stated that the express and contract logistics companies would be absorbed by the emerging firm, Allcargo Logistics (after the demise of ISC).
GMR Airports Infrastructure: Its subsidiary GMR Airports has agreed to spend Rs 675 crore in the planned airport at Bhogapuram, Andhra Pradesh, with the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF).
