On Tuesday, users of Groww, an online platform for financial services, reported that the app was having several problems when they attempted to log in for an intraday trade. Users bombarded X (formerly Twitter) with grievances.
"Today, my Groww app has not opened since the market opened, my watchlist was not open two days ago, my open positions are about to expire, who will pay my losses," a user posted to X.
"Groww app is not working @_groww," remarked another user. Several attempts were made, flight mode was used, and the device was still unusable. It appears that the production server is unavailable. Kindly make this right."
"This is how the Groww app looks during periods of high trade volume. Who will bear responsibility for the damages incurred as a result of your app's worst features?" another user asked. One user expressed his annoyance by calling it "unacceptable" to pay high costs for an unavailable service.
"Disappointed with the persistent technical glitches on the @groww app," the user commented. It is not acceptable to pay high broker fees for a service that is frequently unavailable. It's time to update the terms and conditions so that user needs come before business interests. Better is what we deserve!" The app previously announced a January 13, 2024, downtime. The application was no longer functional.
