By expanding financial awareness and building a scalable distribution network, EINVESTMART aims to create employment opportunities while widening access to structured financial planning

For many Indian families, the financial shock of COVID-19 exposed a difficult reality: earning an income did not necessarily mean being financially prepared. A sudden job loss, medical emergency or death of a breadwinner could destabilise years of household progress when emergency savings, adequate insurance and structured investments were absent. The episode also highlighted a larger opportunity for India’s financial-services ecosystem - to move the conversation from simply selling investment products to helping individuals build financial resilience.
It is within this context that EINVESTMART (Electronic Investment Mart) is building its proposition. An AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor (ARN- 322132), the firm brings mutual funds, retirement planning, children’s education planning, insurance and wealth-creation solutions into a goal-oriented financial framework. Rather than approaching these requirements as disconnected products, EINVESTMART begins by understanding what a client is trying to achieve and then structures solutions around those priorities.
The company’s early traction reflects this approach. Within the first six months of receiving its AMFI registration in 2025, EINVESTMART built a base of more than 100 customers. Its operating philosophy rests on honesty, integrity, value, transparency and customer delight, with particular emphasis on building credibility in an industry where mis-selling and product-led recommendations have historically affected investor confidence.
Behind the venture is a certified market professional with certifications from MCX, NSE and NISM, and financial-sector experience dating back to 2008. Having worked across organisations including Axis, HDFC and Geojit, as well as other banks and NBFCs, he brings exposure to investment and financial services that now informs EINVESTMART’s customer-centric model.
From Financial Products to Financial Preparedness
The idea behind EINVESTMART took shape during the pandemic, when the vulnerability of financially unprepared households became impossible to overlook. Families that had no emergency corpus, health coverage or adequate life insurance were often left exposed when income suddenly disappeared.
By expanding financial awareness and building a scalable distribution network, EINVESTMART aims to create employment opportunities while widening access to structured financial planning
“For EINVESTMART, this revealed that India’s financial opportunity is as much about awareness as access. A large population may have access to banking and investment products, but access alone does not create financial preparedness. People need to understand why they are investing, what risks they are protecting themselves against and how individual financial decisions fit into a longer-term plan”, speaks Avijit Chakraborty, Founder.
This thinking influences how EINVESTMART approaches wealth creation. A mutual fund investment, retirement corpus, child’s education requirement or insurance policy is considered part of the same financial journey rather than an isolated transaction. The objective is to help clients connect present-day investment decisions with future obligations and aspirations.
The philosophy also carries a broader entrepreneurial purpose. By expanding financial awareness and building a scalable distribution network, EINVESTMART aims to create employment opportunities while widening access to structured financial planning.
Choosing Suitability Over the Product Push
One of the firm’s early challenges was earning trust among investors who had become cautious about financial intermediaries because of past experiences with mis-selling and standardised product recommendations. EINVESTMART recognised that rapid customer acquisition would mean little without long-term credibility. “This prompted a deliberate emphasis on goal-based engagement rather than transaction-led selling. The firm focuses on understanding a client’s objectives and risk appetite before identifying suitable solutions. Its team is trained across financial requirements so that conversations can extend beyond a single product category”, says Avijit Chakraborty.
Transparency is another important part of the model. Costs, risks and expected outcomes are communicated clearly, while regulatory developments are viewed as mechanisms for strengthening governance rather than merely compliance obligations. The underlying test is straightforward: whether a financial decision genuinely serves the customer’s long-term interest.
Such an approach becomes particularly relevant during volatile markets. Helping an investor choose an investment is only one part of wealth creation; helping that investor remain disciplined through different market cycles can be equally consequential.
Combining Digital Convenience with Human Judgement
The contemporary investor is increasingly comfortable researching products, monitoring portfolios and completing transactions digitally. EINVESTMART has responded by investing in technology that provides clients with real-time portfolio access, insights and tools for independent research. Yet the company does not see digitisation as a replacement for human interaction. Dashboards can organise information and technology can simplify processes, but significant financial decisions still require context and judgement. During a market correction, retirement transition or major life event, personalised guidance can help investors interpret information rather than react to it.
Its model therefore combines digital processes with advisor-led engagement, while continuing to maintain physical processing capabilities. Technology supports accessibility, information and operational efficiency; people provide behavioural guidance, personalisation and continuity.
Taking Integrated Wealth Management Beyond Metros
Over the next three to five years, EINVESTMART plans to evolve beyond mutual fund distribution into a more comprehensive wealth-management platform. Retirement planning, children’s education and insurance-linked solutions will remain important areas as the firm works towards providing integrated, goalbased financial solutions under one roof.
“Technology will become increasingly central through improved digital onboarding, portfolio analytics and personalised insights. In parallel, EINVESTMART intends to expand its advisor network and strengthen training so that service quality remains consistent as the organisation grows”, adds Avijit Chakraborty.
A significant part of that expansion is expected to come from beyond metropolitan India, where financial awareness is increasing but access to credible, personalised financial guidance remains uneven. For EINVESTMART, this represents both a growth opportunity and the continuation of the purpose that led to its creation: helping more households move from simply earning and investing money towards building lasting financial preparedness.
