India has witnessed a fresh increase in LPG cylinder prices from April 1, 2026, with oil marketing companies revising rates for 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders across major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Chennai. The latest hike is expected to impact businesses such as hotels, restaurants, and small enterprises that rely heavily on commercial gas usage.
Key Highlights
- LPG commercial cylinder prices rise ₹195.50 from April 1, impacting businesses across major Indian cities.
- Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bengaluru see higher LPG rates, increasing operational costs for industries.
Following the revision, 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders prices have risen to around Rs 2,078.50 in Delhi and Rs 2,208 in Kolkata, with similar upward trends observed across other metro cities. In Bengaluru, where commercial LPG prices were already around Rs 1,958 per 19 kg cylinder in March, the latest hike is expected to push rates well above Rs 2,100, adding further pressure on operating costs for local businesses.
This price hike comes amid rising global energy costs and supply disruptions linked to geopolitical tensions in West Asia, which continue to influence fuel pricing in India. Experts note that fluctuations in international oil markets are directly impacting domestic LPG prices, especially for commercial consumption.
Notably, while 19 kg commercial LPG rates have increased, domestic LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged, offering some relief to household consumers. However, the continuous rise in commercial gas prices—nearly Rs 500 increase over the past few months—has raised concerns among businesses regarding rising operational costs.

The latest revision highlights a continuing trend of monthly price adjustments, driven by global crude oil movements and supply chain dynamics. Industry experts believe that if international pressures persist, further price volatility in LPG rates cannot be ruled out in the coming months.
