Amazon India Announced its First Black Friday Sale, which will Start on Nov 29

Finance Outlook India Team | Friday, 29 November 2024

Amazon India has announced its first Black Friday event, which will run from November 29 to December 2. Amazon India's first-ever Black Friday event, which is widely celebrated around the world, will include deals on brands such as Apple, Samsung, Sony, Nike, Calvin Klein, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Panasonic, Jean Paul, Dabur, LG, ALDO, Swarovski, and others in the electronics, appliances, fashion, and beauty categories.

"The record-breaking success of Amazon's exceptional Indian Festival 2024 demonstrated Indian customers' strong need for exceptional pricing. Now, we're raising the bar by introducing Amazon's famed worldwide shopping event, Black Friday, to India for the first time on Amazon.in, with discounts on electronics, skincare, home appliances, and décor from both Indian and international companies. This is another step in our commitment to providing excellent value and shopping experiences to customers across all categories," said Saurabh Srivastava, Vice-President, Categories at Amazon India.

Customers can receive a 10% instant discount when using HDFC, IndusInd, BOB Card, and HSBC bank debit and credit cards, as well as credit EMI. For the Black Friday Sale, Prime members will earn an unlimited 5% cashback on any purchases made with Amazon co-branded credit cards, while non-Prime members will receive 3% cashback. Prime members also have early access to unique shopping events like Prime Day.

Mobile phones, electronics, and accessories will be discounted by 40%-75% wherein the products include Samsung Galaxy Buds, Amazfit Active 42mm AMOLED Smart Watch, Apple MacBook Air Laptop, and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

There will be discounts of up to 65% on appliances including Panasonic 1.5 Ton 3 Star Wi-Fi Inverter Smart Split AC, the LG 7 kg Fully-Automatic Front Load Washing Machine, and the Samsung 653 L Convertible 5-in-1 AI-enabled Smart Refrigerator.

Amazon has announced discounts of 40-70% on luggage, handbags, and luxury brands. These products include Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Paradise Garden Unisex Liquid Eau De Parfum 125ml and Tommy Hilfiger Joshua 21L Black Laptop Backpack.

Amazon is also providing discounts on Sony PlayStation and Xiaomi Smart LED TVs.

Black Friday, a long-standing American retail custom, has established itself as a major e-commerce sales event in India. Last year, customers extended their post-Diwali buying spree to take advantage of Black Friday and other promotions, such as Cyber Monday. Sales and discounts were available both online and offline on Black Friday, November 24, and Cyber Monday shortly thereafter.
