    Bandhan Bank Joins Credit Card Market in Partnership with Mastercard

    Bandhan Bank has joined the credit card market with the introduction of four new variants of credit cards in collaboration with Mastercard to augment its retail banking products and services for its 3.2 crore customers. Bandhan Bank stated that it is implementing the initiative as a part of its efforts to strengthen and expand its customer base and become a universal bank.

    • The Sparks, Ignite, Flare and Lumina cards offer rewards across shopping, travel, dining and entertainment categories.

    The four cards launched by Bandhan Bank are Sparks, Ignite, Flare and Lumina. The products have been designed to cater to different spending preferences, offering benefits across everyday purchases, travel, dining and entertainment.

    Bandhan Bank Credit Cards: Four Variants

    The Sparks credit card focuses on grocery and apparel spending and offers benefits including domestic airport lounge access, BookMyShow offers, a fuel surcharge waiver and EMI cashback.

    Ignite is designed for customers with higher grocery and travel spending. It comes with milestone rewards, domestic and international airport lounge access and EazyDiner benefits.

    Flare is positioned as a travel-focused card. Its features include an Amazon Pay voucher as a welcome benefit, airport lounge access, dining and entertainment offers and golf privileges.

    Lumina is the most premium card in the newly launched portfolio. It offers enhanced rewards on international spending, an Oberoi gift voucher, domestic and international airport lounge access, concierge services and airport meet-and-greet facilities. Cardholders can also access dining, entertainment and golf-related benefits.

    Digital Application and Mastercard Partnership

    Bandhan Bank said customers can apply for the new credit cards through a digital-first process either online or at its branches. The cards will operate on the Mastercard payment network.

    Partha Pratim Sengupta, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bandhan Bank, described the credit card launch as an important milestone in the bank’s evolution as a universal bank.

    The lender said the portfolio has been designed for a broad customer base, ranging from Gen Z and emerging affluent consumers to frequent travelers and premium lifestyle customers. Digital application and servicing will remain a key focus of the offering.

    Bandhan Bank Expands Retail Banking Portfolio

    Rajinder Kumar Babbar, Executive Director and Chief Business Officer at Bandhan Bank said, "The credit card launch would strengthen the bank’s customer-centric product portfolio by combining digital convenience, rewards and lifestyle benefits."

    Gautam Aggarwal, President for India and South Asia AT Mastercard said, "India’s credit market is evolving rapidly as digital adoption increases and consumer preferences change. The partnership brings together Bandhan Bank’s customer reach and Mastercard’s global payment network and capabilities."

    Bandhan Bank's deposits in June 2026 were Rs 1.65 lakh crore, and the advances was more than Rs 1.56 lakh crore. The bank has over 6,400 banking outlets in 35 states and UTs in India.
