BMW Motorrad has expanded its mid-capacity portfolio in India with the launch of the BMW F 450 GS, priced between Rs 4.7 lakh and Rs 5.3 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the adventure motorcycle are now open, with deliveries expected to begin from June 2026.

The launch of BMW F 450 GS marks a strategic push by BMW Motorrad to strengthen its foothold in the fast-growing 400cc–500cc segment, which is witnessing rising demand among urban commuters and touring enthusiasts.
Developed in Germany and manufactured locally in India, the BMW F 450 GS underscores the company’s focus on scaling volumes in the premium motorcycle category. The model replaces the earlier entry-level GS offering and aims to make BMW’s adventure lineup more accessible.
Twin-cylinder engine and advanced features
The BMW F 450 GS is powered by a newly developed 450cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing around 48 hp and 43 Nm of torque, offering improved refinement and performance over previous single-cylinder models.
Key highlights include:
- Easy Ride Clutch (ERC) for smoother low-speed riding
- Shift Assistant Pro for clutchless gear shifts
- Four riding modes: Rain, Road, Enduro and Enduro Pro
- Safety features such as ABS Pro, Dynamic Traction Control, and Dynamic Brake Control
- 6.5-inch TFT display with connectivity and ride analytics
The motorcycle is built on a tubular steel frame with adjustable suspension, positioning it as a versatile option for both city commuting and off-road adventures.
Pricing, variants and financing options
The BMW F 450 GS is offered in three variants:
- Base – Rs 4.7 lakh
- Exclusive – Rs 4.9 lakh
- GS Trophy – Rs 5.3 lakh
BMW is also offering financing options, with EMIs starting at Rs 9,999 per month, along with bundled service packages to enhance ownership experience.
