In order to guarantee a seamless travel experience and prevent inconvenience at toll plazas, NHAI has recommended Paytm FASTag users to obtain a new FASTag from another bank before March 15, according to an official statement released on Wednesday.
As per the statement, doing this will assist in avoiding fines or additional fees when traveling on national highways.
According to the announcement, Paytm FASTag users will not be able to top up or recharge their balance after March 15, 2024, in accordance with the Reserve Bank of India's regulation regarding limits regarding Paytm Payments Bank.

It did add, though, that they may keep using the current balance to pay tolls after the deadline.
Additionally, NHAI recommended Paytm FASTag users to contact their individual banks or consult the FAQs available on the website of IHMCL (Indian Highway Management Company Limited).
