Commercial LPG Gets Cheaper; Domestic Cylinder Rates Unchanged

Finance Outlook India Team | Tuesday, 09 December 2025

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a necessity for every household. Despite the development of microwave ovens and induction stoves, LPG gas cylinders are still widely utilized in Indian households and are a common purchase. Any increase or decrease in LPG gas prices has a direct impact on each household's budget. On December 1, OMC businesses decreased the price of commercial gas cylinders by Rs 10, but did not modify the price of home LPG cylinders, indicating that prices remained unchanged.

    Key Highlights

    • Commercial LPG cylinder rates cut by ₹10 from Dec 1, giving relief to hotels, restaurants and caterers.
    • Domestic LPG cylinder prices remain unchanged — no immediate benefit for household consumers.
