Mumbai-based soft furnishing giant D’Decor has reported a robust financial performance for the fiscal year ending March 2024, crossing Rs 800 crore in revenue. Known for its beautiful curtains, cozy upholstery, and luxurious bed and bath linens, the company also boosted its profits by 20%, proving it’s a standout in the world of soft furnishings.
D’Decor’s core business saw a big jump, growing from Rs 693 crore in sales last year to over Rs 800 crore this time around. People just can’t get enough of their top-notch fabrics! Plus, the company made an extra Rs 12 crore from things like interest on savings, pushing its total earnings to Rs 812 crore.
On the spending side, buying raw materials was the biggest expense, hitting Rs 360 crore (up from Rs 310 crore) since they’re making more than ever. They also spent Rs 80 crore on their team, 15% more than last year and went all out on ads and shipping, spending Rs 90 crore, a 25% increase. All in, expenses reached Rs 650 crore, compared to Rs 570 crore in 2023. But with strong sales and careful planning, D’Decor’s profits climbed to Rs 120 crore, up from Rs 100 crore the year before.
The company’s doing great financially, with an 18.5% EBITDA margin and a 22% return on capital, meaning they’re using their money wisely. They’ve got Rs 400 crore in assets, including Rs 150 crore in cash and savings. Holding strong against brands like Welspun and Indo Count, D’Decor keeps winning with its focus on quality and fresh styles.
The CEO says this success comes from reaching more customers and improving how they get products out there. They’re already aiming big for next year, hoping to hit Rs 1,000 crore in sales. D’Decor’s on fire, making homes prettier and their business stronger every day.
