Vaya, an astrology firm based in Delhi, has received $ 1.5 million in funding from Accelerator, Arkam Ventures, Weekend Fund, and Sumer Juneja and Sarthak Mishra of SoftBank India.
Co-founded by Maahin Puri and Nitesh Kumar Niranjan in 2025, Vaya uses AI to tackle astrological computation so that astrologers can focus on delivery.
The funds will be used to increase its headcount, enhance its expertise in artificial intelligence and develop a team of Vedic astrologers targeting the mass-premium segment.
It has fully-insourced eleven astrologers and offers services based on time packages which range from five to forty minutes.
Launched two months ago, Vaya has already gained as many as 30,000 to 40,000 customers and is most popular in large urbanized cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai. Further, the business needs to target the Indians living in other countries like the USA and Canada as well.
Another of its main competitors, Astrotalk, was able to raise $14 million in June of the previous year. Some of its competitors include InstaAstro, GaneshaSpeaks, Click Astro, Astroyogi as well as Bodhi.
Recently, Posha, a manufacturer of kitchen help robots, has raised $8 million (about Rs 67 crore) in a Series A fundraising round headed by Accel. Along with individual investors like Flipkart cofounder Binny Bansal and others, the round also included participation from current investors including Xeed Ventures and WaterBridge Ventures. Previously, the startup had raised $8.81 million.
