ICICI Prudential AMC FY27 Q2 Net Profit Climbs 6.1% to Rs 889 Crore

Finance Outlook India Team | Monday, 12 October 2026

ICICI Prudential AMC (Asset Management Company) posted a 6.1% rise in net profit to Rs 889 crore during the second quarter of FY27, compared to the corresponding period last year, which was Rs 838 crore. The asset manager's revenue from operations increased by 16.3% year-on-year, continuing the growth trend in its operating income for the July-September quarter.

    Key Highlights

    • ICICI Prudential AMC reported a 6.1% year-on-year rise in Q2 FY27 net profit to Rs 889 crore, while operating revenue grew 16.3%.
    • Total expenses increased 17.9% year-on-year, while earnings per share reached Rs 17.99 and the company reported a Rs 30 interim dividend.

Despite the double-digit revenue growth, profit increased at a slower pace as expenses rose faster than income. The company also declared an interim dividend of Rs 30 per share, according to media reports.

ICICI Prudential AMC Revenue Rises 16.3% in Q2 FY27

ICICI Prudential AMC's revenue from operations increased 16.3% year-on-year from Rs 1,439.06 crore in the September quarter of the previous financial year. The growth indicates an improvement in operating income during the reporting period.

Total income rose 11.9% year-on-year from Rs 1,510.92 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. However, the slower growth in total income compared with revenue from operations highlights differences in the company's income streams during the quarter.

The results reflect continued revenue growth for the asset management business, which offers mutual fund schemes and investment products across equity, debt and other asset classes.

Total Expenses Increase 17.9% in September Quarter

ICICI Prudential AMC's total expenses rose by 17.9% year-on-year to Rs 418.31 crore in the quarter ended in the year as compared to the same period a year ago. The slowdown in profit growth is in line with the company's comparatively high expense growth rate, which provides context.

Net profit increased 6.1% for the quarter compared to the 16.3% increase in operating revenue, which is significantly slower. The difference highlights that investors will have to look at expense trends in addition to revenue growth when evaluating the company's earnings.

The reported numbers, however, do not identify who contributed to the increase in which expense categories.

ICICI Prudential AMC Earnings Per Share Rises Annually

The company's earnings per share (EPS) rose to ₹17.99 in the September quarter, up from Rs 16.95 in the September quarter of last year, growing by around 6.1% year on year.

However, on a sequential basis EPS dropped from Rs 19.52 in the previous quarter. The earnings improvement is on the annual trend, but still shows a moderation as compared to the June quarter.

Comparisons for the year and quarter provide different insights into the company's performance. The sequential decrease underscores the need to look at earnings trends over several reporting periods, while the annual figures indicate growth.

The announcement of a cash dividend is in addition to the company's revenue and profit performance, and is also one of the significant events for shareholders in the quarter.

ICICI Prudential AMC is a player in the Asset Management Company segment of the Indian asset management market, providing investment products and mutual fund schemes to retail and institutional investors. Its latest quarterly results show continued revenue growth and increased expenses with more moderate growth in net profit.
