The Indian startup funding ecosystem saw $198.33 million across 21 deals in the latest week, which included 4 rounds at an undisclosed stage, 14 growth-stage rounds and 3 early-stage rounds. There were also 8 key hires, 2 leadership changes and 2 mergers and acquisitions during the week, bringing the startup funding activity up significantly compared to the previous week.

Growth-Stage Deals Total $118.3 Million
Growth-stage startups took in $118.3 million through three deals. Fintech unicorn Navi was the biggest winner with $100 million investment from Prosus in its first institutional funding round. BGauss, the electric two-wheeler maker, raised Rs 110 crore (around $11.6 million) in a Series D round and Butterfly Learnings, a Mumbai-based paediatric behavioural health platform, raised Rs 65 crore (around $6.7 million) in a pre-Series B round led by Inflexor Ventures.
Early-Stage Startups Raise $80.03 Million
Startups as a whole raised a total of $80.03 million, spread across 14 deals, during the week. Data centre firm CtrlS was the largest, with the backing of Rs 200 crore from co-founder of Zerodha Nikhil Kamath and Rs 50 crore from entrepreneur Sreeram Reddy Vanga. NeoGeo raised $20 million in what was a Series A round with four investors, including Neev II Fund and Aavishakar Capital; Rezolv raised $12.5 million in a Series A round led by Norwest.
Peeko raised over $7 million in a Series A round led by Chiratae Ventures, while healthtech platform Lissun raised Rs 48 crore in a Series A round led by Colossa Ventures.
Other startups that secured funding during the week included DeHaat Honest Farms, a pesticide-free food brand by DeHaat; deeptech startup AlgoFET; specialty coffee brand First Coffee; reusable packaging platform Yantra Packs; and five other early-stage ventures.
Events and ticketing platform BookMyShow, traveltech startup Atravelq, healthtech infrastructure startup Tross, and water infrastructure startup Neuromod Aqua also raised funding this week, though the amounts remained undisclosed.
City and Sector-Wise Funding Trends
Bengaluru dominated the Indian startup funding scene with 9 deals for the week followed by Delhi-NCR with 7 deals. Funding also happened in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Jaipur.
On a sector-by-sector basis, e-commerce startups were the biggest contributors this week with five deals, followed by healthtech, with three. Fintech and deeptech startups closed 2 deals each and data centres, AI, EV, agritech and F&B also saw deals. When it comes to funding stage, five deals went in at Series A, five at Seed, three at Pre-Series A, one at Series D and one at Pre-Series B.
Weekly Funding Trend Rises Strongly
The Indian startup funding increased by 31% from $151.5 million the previous week to $198.33 million for the week that ended on July 10, 2011. The latest startup funding week's figures beat recent trends, with the average startup funding amount in the last eight weeks at approximately $297 million in 20 deals.
Key Hires and Departures
Bengaluru-based quick home services platform Snabbit appointed Pradeep Yadav as Head of Operations, while healthtech startup Superhealth named former Dunzo co-founder Dalvir Singh Suri to the same role.
Swiggy expanded the roles of three senior executives across Instamart and its Food Marketplace, appointing Himavant Kurnala as Chief Growth and Product Officer, Nitesh Garg as CTO, and Saurav Goyal as COO of the Food Marketplace. MobiKwik also appointed former Bajaj Markets executive Manish Pathania as CBO.
Charwaha.com appointed Bhanu Dasgupta as Co-Founder and Chief Strategy and Sales Officer, while wealth and asset management firm 360 ONE named Abhishek Bhalotia as Chief Growth & People Officer.
On the departures front, Walmart-backed e-commerce major Flipkart is set to see two senior leadership exits, with Gunjan Bhartia, Senior VP of Business Finance, and Amer Hussain, VP of Supply Chain for Grocery and Minutes, stepping down from their roles.
Mergers and Acquisitions
DSP Finance, the NBFC arm of DSP Group, acquired Salter Technologies, which operates digital lending platform Volt Money and offers loans against financial assets, including equity mutual funds.
AI-native fleet and logistics technology company Fleetx.ai acquired transportation management system provider Pando.ai for an undisclosed amount. Meanwhile, Hearzap completed its acquisition of Amplifon India's hearing healthcare business, following a definitive agreement announced in May 2026.
Major News and Developments This Week
Consumer appliances major Atomberg Technologies has submitted its DRHP to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for an IPO plan involving a fresh issue of up to Rs 450 crore and an IPO sale to existing shareholders, which includes A91 Partners, Temasek Holdings and Jungle Ventures. Nobel Hygiene, also an hygiene product company, was the other company to file its DRHP for a fresh issue worth Rs 150 crore, with Quadria Capital to be its lead OFS partner.
San Francisco-based voice AI startup Wispr Flow raised $280 million in a Series B round led by Menlo Ventures, valuing the company at $2 billion, with participation from Notable Capital, NEA, Neo Ventures, 8VC, and new investors including Acrew, Forerunner, Goodwater and Peak XV.
In a setback, homegrown AI communication and data intelligence startup Bobble.AI entered insolvency proceedings after the NCLT admitted a plea against its parent entity, Talent Unlimited Online Services Pvt Ltd, initiating the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) against the company.
Elsewhere, Swiggy shareholders approved a 49.5% foreign ownership cap, while Vijay Shekhar Sharma-backed Resilient announced plans to sell a 4.98% stake in Paytm, a move expected to benefit Antfin. Newly listed FMCG stock Milky Mist also made a strong market debut, listing at an 18% premium.

The 1% Club, the Netflix of finance, has taken a new step in the financial space as it launched its AI CFO-an AI-powered financial tool that delivers personalized financial advice and guidance to help users make better decisions with their money, marking the platform's evolution from financial education into a technology-led personal finance ecosystem.
Swiggy is introducing a new solution, “Guru,” which is an AI business assistant that will be available 24x7 and available for restaurant partners for data-driven decisions, performance tracking, and day-to-day operations. Over 720 cities, 2.7 lakh-plus restaurants, Guru is available across more than 20 vernacular languages to support sales analysis, payout, ad campaigns, discounts and menu insights.
CoverSure, an IRDAI-licensed insurance platform, launched Insurance Gift Cards in partnership with RBI-licensed PPI issuer Oxymoney, allowing recipients to use stored value toward insurance coverage of their choice, with the company targeting Rs 100 crore in insurance gifting value and 1 million families over the next 12 months.
Enterprise AI infrastructure company TrueFoundry launched TrueForge, an open-source agent harness enabling enterprises to build, deploy and govern AI agents without vendor lock-in, claiming to cut agent operating costs by 50%. Separately, Cygnet.One launched an Agentic AI platform for Accounts Payable, bringing the entire invoice book onto a single platform with AI agents handling invoice checks and verification.
