Jio Payment Solutions has launched cross-border payments to help Indian exporters receive international payments through virtual accounts, international cards and local payment rails from customers across global markets. The new offering comes after the company received authorisation from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to operate as a Payment Aggregator for Cross-Border (PA-CB) transactions.
Key Highlights
- Jio Payment Solutions launched cross-border payments to help Indian exporters collect international payments more efficiently.
- The RBI authorised JPSL as a Payment Aggregator for Cross-Border transactions covering exports and imports.
Jio Payment Solutions Limited (JPSL), a subsidiary of Jio Financial Services Limited, said its platform will support both export and import transactions. The service is designed to simplify international payment collection, which can involve multiple currencies, payment partners, documentation and manual reconciliation.
Platform Offers Multi-Currency Payment Collection
Under the new cross-border payments service, businesses can collect payments through multi-currency virtual accounts while offering customers access to preferred local payment methods.
The solution is aimed at a broad range of businesses, including online sellers, digital businesses, freelancers, creators and software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies. JPSL said its offering covers around 50% of India export footprint.
Merchants exporting to markets such as the US, UK, Europe, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia will be able to quote prices in local currencies and collect payments through the platform.
JPSL also offers multiple integration options, including hosted checkouts, payment links and pages, recurring invoicing, embedded software development kits, secure payment screens and white-label APIs. The company said the cross-border service provides T+2 settlement without a rolling reserve.
Jio Payment Solutions Focuses on Compliance and Faster Settlement
The platform includes end-to-end encryption, localised data storage and transaction monitoring. JPSL said FIRA/eFIRA documentation will be available within the same working day, while merchants can complete digital onboarding and monitor transactions and settlements through a real-time dashboard.
JPSL MD & CEO Kashinath Hariharan said the company’s cross-border capabilities combine Jio’s brand with a scalable technology platform to bring global acceptance, compliance and operational efficiency together.

JPSL already operates as a payment aggregator for online and physical point-of-sale transactions. With the new cross-border offering, the company now provides payment services spanning digital commerce, physical retail and international e-commerce for permitted current account transactions.
