Domestic and International Markets Drive Revenue Growth
Lenskart's India business continued to contribute significantly to its overall performance. Revenue from the domestic market increased approximately 35.5% year-on-year to Rs 1,668 crore during the quarter, compared with Rs 1,231 crore in the same period last year. Growth was supported by higher eyewear sales, increasing customer demand and improved performance across its retail stores.
The company's international business also recorded strong growth, with revenue rising 36.5% to Rs 1,201 crore from Rs 880 crore a year earlier. The performance reflects Lenskart's continued efforts to expand its presence in overseas markets and build its international customer base.
The company has been focusing on increasing its geographical reach through new store openings and strengthening its existing retail operations. Its expansion strategy includes entering smaller cities and emerging markets, where demand for affordable and quality eyewear continues to develop.
Total expenses increased 31.1% year-on-year to Rs 2,596.8 crore during the September quarter, compared with Rs 1,980.3 crore in the corresponding period last year. However, revenue growth outpaced the increase in expenses, supporting the improvement in net profitability.
Lenskart's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) also registered strong growth. EBITDA increased approximately 50.5% to Rs 362 crore, compared with Rs 241 crore in the year-ago quarter. The EBITDA margin improved to 21.7% from 19.5%, reflecting better operating performance.
Store Expansion and Premium Products Support Growth
Alongside its financial performance, Lenskart continued to expand its physical retail network. The company added 165 net new stores during the quarter, taking its total active store count to 3,624. India accounted for 143 of these additions, while its international operations contributed another 22 stores.
The expansion reflects the company's strategy of increasing accessibility to eyewear products beyond major metropolitan markets. Its domestic business has been targeting Tier 2 and smaller cities, where growing awareness of eye care and changing consumer preferences are creating opportunities for organised eyewear retailers.

The company is also focusing on premium products and improving its customer experience. Its product portfolio includes prescription glasses, sunglasses, contact lenses and other vision-related products. By offering products across different price segments, Lenskart aims to reach a wider customer base while encouraging customers to explore higher-value eyewear options.
The improvement in profitability comes as the company continues to balance investments in retail expansion, technology and its supply chain with financial performance. Its growing international business also provides another avenue for revenue diversification.
With revenue increasing across both domestic and overseas markets, Lenskart's latest quarterly results indicate continued momentum in its eyewear business. The company's ability to maintain sales growth, manage operating costs and improve margins will remain important as it pursues further expansion in the Indian eyewear industry.
