Sudhir Kamath, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Nazara Technologies Limited, has announced his resignation. Kamath will leave his position on April 1, 2025.
In a formal filing with the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) and BSE Limited, the company revealed this development. In order to move back to his hometown and spend more time with his family, Kamath has made the decision to step down, the business said.
Kamath thanked Nitish Mittersain, the Managing Director of Nazara Technologies, in his letter of resignation, citing his experiences working with the company's subsidiaries and leadership team.
In October 2022, Kamath joined Nazara after co-founding 9stacks and serving as its CEO for more than five years.
It is anticipated that Nazara will name his successor when Kamath resigns.
In the meantime, Nazara's operational revenue increased from Rs. 320 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs. 535 crore in Q3 FY25, a 67% increase. The company's profit, however, decreased by 53.6% year over year to Rs.13.7 crore in Q3 FY25 from Rs. 29.5 crore in Q3 FY24, despite the expanded scale.
“The last two and a half years have been a great experience for me, with a chance to learn from you, our Directors, and other colleagues at the Group level as well as our subsidiaries. I hope I have also been able to help the Company towards its ambitious growth targets,” Kamath wrote in his resignation letter.
