    Nifty Reaches 25,000 for the First Time, while the Sensex Sets a New Record High

    On Thursday, the Nifty crossed the 25,000 barrier for the first time, boosted by increases in Maruti, JSW Steel, and HDFC shares. The 50-stock index began 80 points higher at 25,030, marking a new record high. Similarly, the Sensex exceeded 82,000 for the first time in early trading today. Sensex reached a record high of 82,129, up 388 points from the previous close of 81,741.

    Nifty Stocks in Green

    38 Nifty stocks were trading in the green. Maruti, Coal India, Hindalco, JSW Steel, and Power Grid were the leading gainers on the Nifty, climbing up to 3% in early trading. 

    Sensex Gainers 

    On the 30-stock index, 22 equities were trading in the green. The top gainers were Maruti, JSW Steel, Power Grid, Tata Steel, and Adani Ports, which rose by up to 3%. Maruti Suzuki's shares soared after the company announced a 47 percent year-on-year increase in earnings to Rs 3,650 crore. Profit after tax (PAT) for the same period previous year was Rs 2,485.1 crore.

    Investors earn Rs1.62 lakh crore

    The market capitalization of BSE-listed enterprises increased by Rs 1.62 lakh crore to Rs 464 lakh crore from Rs 462.38 lakh crore on Wednesday.

    206 stocks reached 52-week highs on BSE

    As many as 206 stocks reached 52-week highs today. On the other side, 10 equities reached 52-week lows on the BSE in early trading on Thursday.

    Market breadth green

    Out of 3100 stocks, 2026 were trading in the green. Approximately 966 equities were trading in the red, while 108 were unchanged.

    Metal, consumer durables, and banking are the leading gainers

    The banking, consumer durables, and banking indexes all surged 660 points, 289 points, and 260 points on the BSE, respectively.

    Upper circuits are higher than lower circuits

    Approximately 151 equities reached higher circuits as the stock market soared in the early morning session. On the other side, 57 shares reached their lower circuit limitations.

    FII-DII data

    According to provisional NSE data, foreign institutional investors sold Rs 3462.36 crore in stocks on Wednesday, while domestic investors purchased Rs 3,366 crore.

    Previous session

    Benchmark indexes closed higher on Wednesday. The Sensex finished at 81,741, up 285 points, and the Nifty closed 94 points higher at 24,951.
