Finance Outlook India Team | Wednesday, 04 November 2026

Ottonomy funding brings in approximately Rs 40.6 crore ($4.2 million) in a post-seed round, with Japan-based venture capital firm Enrission India Capital participating in the investment.

    Key Highlights

    • Ottonomy funding brings in approximately Rs 40.6 crore in a post-seed round with participation from Japan-based Enrission India Capital.
    • The company plans to expand autonomous delivery robot deployments across international healthcare and industrial automation markets.

The fresh Rs 40.6 crore post-seed round will enable it to expand internationally in the area of healthcare and industrial automation. As companies and healthcare institutions consider how to automate to help fill staffing gaps and optimise operations, the company expects to expand the adoption of its autonomous logistics solutions.

Ottonomy Funding to Support Global Expansion

Founded by Ritukar Vijay, Ottonomy develops AI-powered autonomous delivery robots for indoor and outdoor environments. Its flagship product, Ottobot, uses the company’s proprietary Contextual AI technology to navigate complex facilities and complete deliveries with minimal human intervention.

The robots are created to automate the circulation of medicines, medical devices, supplies and other materials throughout enterprise facilities and hospitals.

In healthcare settings, autonomous delivery systems can help reduce the time medical professionals spend on logistical activities, allowing them to focus more on patient care. The company is also targeting industrial applications where automated material movement can support operational workflows.

Enrission India Capital Participates in Ottonomy’s Post-Seed Round

Japan-based Enrission India Capital invests in early-stage Indian startups, primarily from Seed to Series B stages. Its investment focus includes consumer businesses, logistics, climate technology and enterprise technology.

Beyond capital, the venture capital firm works with portfolio companies to explore international expansion opportunities, particularly in Japan. Its portfolio includes GoDesi, Pico Xpress, Uravu Labs, StackBox and Hexalog.

Enrission India Capital’s participation in Ottonomy’s funding round comes as the robotics company looks to expand its presence in international healthcare and industrial markets.

Autonomous Delivery Robotics Market Gains Traction

Ottonomy operates in the autonomous delivery and robotics field, where companies are working on AI-driven autonomous systems to meet the last mile delivery and logistics needs while meeting workforce challenges and operational efficiency requirements.

Autonomous delivery robotics is still a nascent market in India, with startups looking into different use cases such as healthcare, manufacturing, retail, logistics (intra-campus and warehouses).

Other autonomous delivery and logistics platform players include Airbound, which secured $37 million in a Series A funding round in August 2026 to expand its autonomous delivery drone technology.

In January 2025, Ati Motors, an industrial robotics company, raised $20 million in a Series B round to further develop its autonomous mobile robots for industrial material handling that are powered by artificial intelligence. At the same time, Anscer Robotics has raised around Rs 45 crore during its Series A round to scale its autonomous mobile robots and warehouse automation solutions.

Through the new investment round, Ottonomy aims to boost its presence in the business world and increase the adoption of autonomous delivery robots in the healthcare and industrial sectors worldwide.
