Key Highlights
- PM Modi will release an amount of Rs 18,690 crore to over 9.34 crore farmers under PM-KISAN.
- The farmers are required to undertake eKYC, verify land records and Aadhaar linked bank details in order to get the Rs 2000 instalment.
The latest PM-KISAN 24th instalment is following the release of the 23rd instalment on June 20, 2026 that benefited more than 9.44 crore farmers. The government's intent with the new transfer is to offer ongoing support to those farming households who qualify for it throughout the country.
What Is PM-KISAN 24th Instalment 2026?
PM-KISAN provides financial support of Rs 6,000 to the landholding farmer families in three tranches of Rs 2,000 each year. The amount is directly deposited in beneficiaries' bank accounts via DBT to assist in their agricultural and domestic needs. The first 23 instalments of the scheme have released over Rs 4.47 lakh crore.
Who Is Eligible for the PM-KISAN 24th Instalment?
The benefit is available to eligible landholding farmer families, although there are some exclusions in the scheme. Farmers need to have their land records verified, Aadhaar details correctly linked to their bank accounts and their Aadhaar eKYC completed.
Those who are excluded include institutional landholders, income-tax payers and certain serving and past government officials and elected representatives. Once registered, the beneficiary is not necessarily paid, as details of the beneficiary are verified.

Is eKYC Mandatory for PM-KISAN? How to Complete It
Yes, eKYC is mandatory for registered PM-KISAN beneficiaries. It can be completed through three methods:
-
OTP based: Go to the PM-KISAN portal or mobile app, enter the Aadhaar number and do verification with OTP sent to the Aadhaar linked mobile number.
-
Biometric based: Go to a Common Service Centre (CSC) or State Seva Kendra which are authorised.
-
Face authentication: Authentication through face using PM-KISAN mobile application.
Why Has the PM-KISAN Rs 2,000 Instalment Not Been Credited?
Any incompleteness in eKYC or issues with Aadhaar information or bank information, pending land-record verification or any discrepancies regarding eligibility can lead to delayed payments. The official portal suspects and identifies cases where the land was acquired post 1st February, 2019, or if several members of a family receive benefits. These payments could be withheld until physical verification has been done. Farmers can verify their status via the portal/mobile app and reach out to the appropriate parties to address discrepancies.
