    Q2 Results Update: 47 companies to Report Earnings on Nov 4

    Q2FY25 business report November 4: On Monday, 47 organizations, including Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) and Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC), released their second quarter (Q2) earnings report for the fiscal year 2024–2025. These quarterly reports would provide clues for market sentiment in the next week as well as insights into company performance in the face of a changing economic environment.

    Important Indian businesses including Bata India, Exide Industries, Gland Pharma, Amara Raja Energy and Mobility, JK Paper, and Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company are also expected to disclose their Q2 results. Tube Investments of India, ABB India, Andhra Paper, Kaycee Industries, KEC International, Procter & Gamble Health, Raymond, Shankara Building Products, and V S T Tillers Tractors are among the other companies anticipated to release their earnings.44

    An interim dividend of Rs 8 per share has been announced by Patanjali Foods Ltd. The ex-dividend date is Monday; investors who buy shares after this date will not be entitled for the dividend. On November 23, qualifying shareholders will get their payment. The interim dividend for Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd is Rs 24 per share, and the company will turn ex-dividend on Monday. Eligible stockholders can receive the compensation, which will be distributed on November 23, as the record date falls on a Monday.

    Overview of the market on November 4

    The Indian stock market reported slight increases during an hour-long muhurat trading session on Friday night, which was held in observance of Diwali. On Friday, the Nifty 50 gained 94.20 points (0.39 percent), finishing at 24,299.55, while the BSE Sensex increased 335.06 points (0.42 percent), closing at 79,724.12.

    Amid conflicting global cues, Indian equities indices displayed a minor downward trend at Monday's start. The Nifty 50 began the day down 100 points, or 0.41 percent, at 24,204, while the BSE Sensex opened 150 points lower (a 0.19 percent decline) at 79,573.

    Investors will be closely monitoring Q2 earnings this week in addition to world events, such as the November 5 US presidential election.
