Reliance Jio has raised the price of its prepaid recharge plans that include Netflix subscriptions. These entertainment recharge plans have seen a price increase of up to Rs 300. The updated costs for the two plans are now reflected on Jio's official website.
Notably, two Jio recharge plans priced at Rs 1,099 and Rs 1,499 each included a complementary Netflix membership. These plans are now available for Rs 1,299 and Rs 1,799, respectively, on the official Jio website. The Rs 1,299 plan includes a Netflix mobile membership, while the Rs 1,799 plan includes a Netflix basic subscription as well as additional bonuses.
For Rs 1,299, customers will have three months of access to Netflix content on a single mobile device or tablet with a resolution of 480 pixels. It is good for 84 days and includes 2GB of daily data, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS each day. Additionally, they will have access to JioCinema, JioCloud, and JioTV.
The Rs 1,799 prepaid recharge package includes Netflix content on a variety of devices including as smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, and computers, with video streaming quality of up to 720p. It also provides unlimited calling, 3GB of daily internet, and 100 SMS every day. Its validity is 84 days.
The telecom provider also announced a price increase for its other recharge plans in July. Here are the details:
-2GB/day (28 days) is now priced at Rs 349, up from Rs 299.
-1.5GB/day (28 days): Increased to Rs 299 from Rs 239.
-3GB/day (28 days): Price remains at Rs 449.
-1.5GB every day for 84 days. Revised to Rs 799, up from Rs 666.
-2GB/day (84 days): Rs 859 (earlier Rs 719).
-3GB/day (84 days): Now priced at Rs 1199, up from Rs 999.
-2.5GB/day (365 days): Now Rs 3599, up from Rs 2999.
Notably, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) is scheduled to have its 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 29, 2024. The event will take place digitally and may be seen online via JioMeet at 2:00 PM (IST).
