Repello, an artificial intelligence-driven cybersecurity startup, has raised $1.2 million in a seed round led by Venture Highway, Pi Ventures, and Entrepreneur First. Notable angel investors include Meta board member Charles Songhurst, Sarvam AI CEO Vivek Raghavan, and Satya Vas.
The proceeds will be used to improve product capabilities, deepen research into offensive testing simulations, and expand global outreach.
Repello was established in 2024 by Aryaman Behera and Naman Mishra with the intention of protecting generative AI platforms from evolving attack techniques. While the startup's development and innovation teams are based in Bengaluru, its commercial and customer-facing divisions are based in San Francisco.
Repello's flagship product, ARTEMIS (Automated Red Teaming Engine for Mapping, Identification, and Scanning), uses large-scale simulated attack scenarios across text, visual, and audio layers to identify vulnerabilities in GenAI systems.
The startup also provides Repello Guard, a live security framework that monitors AI models during deployment and detects threats such as inappropriate content, prompt injections, and sensitive data leaks, in addition to ARTEMIS.
