    Thierry Delaporte is the highest paid CEO in Indian IT for FY24

    For the second year in a row, former Wipro CEO and Managing Director Thierry Delaporte was the highest-paid CEO in the IT sector with earnings of over $20 million (about ₹166 crore). Srinivas Pallia took over for Thierry Delaporte, who left the business in April.

    Thierry Delaporte received over $5 million in commission/variable compensation and over $3.9 million in salary and allowance, according to Wipro's 20-F filings with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. In addition, he received $7 million in additional remuneration and almost $4 million in long-term benefits. In contrast, Srinivas Pallia receives an annual compensation package of almost ₹50 crore, which places him second among CEOs in the Indian IT sector for FY25.

    This occurs when Wipro's revenue dropped from ₹90,486 crore to ₹89,760 crore in FY24, year over year. According to the company's filing, this is in "recognition of Delaporte's contributions in driving significant transformation."     On the list of top paid CEOs in India, who comes in next?

    Mohit Joshi of Tech Mahindra comes in second on the list with an annual variable pay package of ₹6.5 crore and an annual fixed salary of ₹6.5 crore. K Krithivasan, the CEO and MD of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), had the lowest yearly remuneration of any major IT company in FY24—₹25.36 crore.
