Key Highlights
- Space-tech startup Ulook raises ₹19 crore in a funding round led by growX Ventures and InfoEdge Ventures.
- Ulook develops autonomous satellite swarms for RF sensing and spectrum awareness, targeting defence and infrastructure clients.
Ulook creates self-governing satellite swarms for spectrum awareness and radio-frequency (RF) sensing. The technology makes it possible to track, identify, and analyze activities on the surface of the Earth as well as in disputed areas where conventional optical or radar techniques might not work well.
Its RF-sensing platform capabilities will be expanded, its satellite and sensor development will continue, and its go-to-market activities for data intelligence services will be expedited using the proceeds.
Particularly in the fields of sensor innovation, satellite deployment, and data-as-a-service models, Ulook faces competition from other space-tech and earth-observation companies like Pixxel, Satsure, Astrome, and Skyroot Aerospace.
