    Weekly Funding Wrap-up: September 20-26

    This week witnessed significant fundraising rounds for firms in edtech, finance, and adtech, preparing them to disrupt their respective businesses. The top five investment rounds from last Friday to this Thursday totaled USD 492 million, demonstrating investors' growing confidence in the Indian economy and the firm itself.

    Here is a list of the noteworthy fundraising this week:

    1. Physics Wallah receives USD 210 million in Series B; value rises to USD 2.8 billion.

    2. Hornbill Capital led the USD 210 million fundraising round, which included participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, GSV, and WestBridge.

    3. Whatfix has raised USD 125 million from Warburg Pincus and SoftBank.

    5. M2P Fintech raises more than $100 million in primary and secondary investment.

    6. Helios Investment Partners led the round. The Series D round also included participation from major Asian banks, with current investor Flourish Ventures doubling down on their investment in the firm.

    7. Aye Finance raises $30 million in Series G financing.

    The Series G fundraising round was headed by Singapore-based ABC Impact. This equity transaction, together with Aye Finance's previous debt financing of USD 30 million in June, takes the company's total equity fundraising to Rs 1,500 crore.

    Furthermore, HomeLane to buy DesignCafe and obtains Rs 225 crore investment. The deal, which is still pending regulatory approval, is likely to result in one of India's major interior firms.
