The United Arab Emirates' national airline, Etihad Airways, has chosen Wipro, an IT services provider, to spearhead its extensive technological modernization, the company announced. The five-year contract's financial details were not disclosed by Wipro.

"Etihad Airways has awarded Wipro a multi-million dollar contract for IT transformation and cost optimization," the Bengaluru-based business announced in a press release.

Wipro will guarantee the smooth transition of legacy systems and enhance operational effectiveness in critical domains such as service management, network, infrastructure, and the workplace.

Wipro FullStride Cloud will offer Etihad Airways a tailored cloud-based solution that will enhance operational agility and scalability for their worldwide operations and give them real-time insights into how they use their resources.

"Wipro will also integrate Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) modules across the IT framework -- from automation of data centres to conversational support to end-users," stated the press release.

Additionally, GenAI will provide insights and intelligent device management to maximize performance and proactively address any disruptions.

In order to improve their technology and satisfy the changing needs of their international operations, Etihad Airways will have access to Wipro's Innovation Lab in the United Arab Emirates.

According to the release, Wipro has been operating in the Middle East for over 20 years, employing thousands of people and giving local talent the chance to effectively serve clients in the area.
