Arivihan Raises $10 Million to Expand AI-Powered Learning Platform
The brainchild of two IIT Roorkee alumni, Ritesh Singh Chandel and Sonu Kumar, who started their company in 2022, along with a mathematics educator, Rushabh Kothari, Arivihan is an automated AI tutoring platform for school students. The site provides personalised learning by interactive video lecture, instant doubt-solving and customised learning plans.
Unlike conventional coaching models that rely heavily on live teachers, Arivihan uses AI to deliver individualised learning experiences at scale. The company claims its technology enables 10 times greater scalability and cost-effectiveness compared with traditional coaching models.
Ritesh Singh Chandel, Co-founder and CEO of Arivihan, said 80% of the company’s subscribers come from Tier 3 cities and rural India. He added that the startup aims to make personalised education accessible to students irrespective of their location or preferred language.
How Will Arivihan Use Its $10 Million Funding?
Arivihan plans to allocate the fresh capital towards geographical expansion, product development and customer acquisition. Its priorities include entering additional states, expanding its presence in the CBSE segment and strengthening its AI research and vernacular-language capabilities.
The company also intends to scale up performance marketing and on-ground distribution to reach more students across India. These initiatives are part of its broader strategy to extend personalised digital learning beyond major urban markets.
The expansion comes as Arivihan seeks to address the challenges faced by students who have limited access to individualised coaching and educational resources.
Arivihan Targets New States and CBSE Students
Following the funding round, Arivihan plans to deepen its presence in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar while entering new markets. The company is also preparing to broaden its CBSE offering and introduce crash courses.
Currently, the platform serves students preparing for state board examinations, CBSE assessments and NEET, with a primary focus on Class 12 learners in Tier 2 and smaller cities, as well as rural regions.
The planned expansion will build on its existing user base and focus on making its AI tutoring services available to more students across different regions.
