Escape Plan Secures $5 Mn in Funding Round Led by Jungle Ventures

Finance Outlook India Team | Tuesday, 22 July 2025

Modern travel accessory company Escape Plan has raised $5 million in a funding round led by Jungle Ventures, Fireside Ventures, and a number of angel investors through its First Cheque@Jungle campaign.

    Key Highlights

    • Escape Plan raises $5 M seed round led by Jungle Ventures and Fireside Ventures to scale travel gear platform.
    • Funds support rapid two‑hour delivery of multi‑brand travel essentials and offline retail expansion across India.

The money will be utilized to launch quick commerce services, increase retail presence, and attract new customers. As it collaborates with well-known brands to provide one- to two-hour deliveries in strategic cities, Escape Plan is also making investments in production and capacity planning.

Abhinav Zutshi and Abhinav Pathak, the former co-founder of Perpule (which was acquired by Amazon), founded Escape Plan, a company that caters to both everyday and leisure travelers and specializes in travel necessities like backpacks, passport covers, and neck pillows.

Within the next 18 to 24 months, the Bengaluru-based startup hopes to expand its physical store count to over 100, having already opened locations in six to seven cities.

Through its own platform, the brand offers both partner-manufactured and in-house products for sale. In India's rapidly expanding travel gear market, it faces competition from other direct-to-consumer (D2C) players like Mokobara, Nasher Miles, Uppercase, and Acefour Accessories.
