Fur Jaden Raises Rs 9.5 Cr in Pre-Series A from Gruhas Collective Consumer Fund

Finance Outlook India Team | Wednesday, 02 April 2025

Fur Jaden, a home-grown lifestyle luggage brand, has secured Rs 9.5 crore in a Pre-Series A funding round from Gruhas Collective Consumer Fund (GCCF). The funds will be used to grow the team, strengthen brand presence, broaden the product portfolio, and scale its omnichannel retail strategy.

Over the next 16–18 months, the company wants to reach an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of Rs 100 crore in net revenue. Over the following five years, it also plans to create a pan-India presence through a combination of strategic retail partnerships, flagship stores, and digital expansion.

Fur Jaden was established with an emphasis on functionality and design, and its products include crossbody bags, backpacks, travel duffles, and luggage. 50% of the company's products are composed of recycled materials and cruelty-free vegan leather, demonstrating how it has incorporated sustainability into its product line.

The Indian market for luggage, bags, and backpacks was estimated to be worth Rs 20,400 crore in 2024 and is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8% between 2025 and 2030, reaching Rs 29,900 crore.  Fur Jaden intends to capitalize on this growth by expanding its retail presence, both online and offline.

"This funding milestone represents more than just capital; it validates our vision of transforming how Indians travel in style and convenience." Since our inception, Fur Jaden has been dedicated to creating products that combine functionality with personal expression. With GCCF's help, we're excited to expand our sustainable product lines and strengthen our omni-channel presence," said Karishma Bansal, Co-founder of Fur Jaden.

Abhijeet Pai, General Partner of Gruhas Collective Consumer Fund (GCCF) and Co-Founder of Gruhas, stated, "The way young India travels is rapidly evolving, driven by a desire for exploration, self-expression, and smarter experiences. Fur Jaden is at the forefront of this shift, combining innovation, functionality, and design to appeal to the modern traveler.

Vijay Subramaniam, Founder and Group CEO of Collective Artists Network, stated, "At GCCF, we specialize in elevating brands from promising to iconic. Fur Jaden has established a solid foundation in the mass-premium segment, and we see a clear opportunity to grow it into a truly aspirational brand. With Collective's deep expertise in consumer engagement, storytelling, and scaling brands in pop culture, we are excited to collaborate with Fur Jaden on this journey."
