In the quarter that ended in March 2025, Go Digit General Insurance's gross written premium (GWP) rose by 10 percent, indicating consistent financial performance from quarter to quarter. Additionally, during the same quarter (Q4 FY25), its earnings doubled.
According to its financial report, which was obtained from the National Stock Exchange, Go Digit is GWP increased to Rs. 2,576 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs 2,335 crore in Q4 FY24.
In the fiscal year that ended in March 2025, the Bengaluru-based company grew 14 percent to Rs. 10,282 crore, surpassing the Rs 10,000 crore GWP milestone for the first time.
Go Digit made Rs 2,247 crore in net premiums in Q4 FY25, with motor insurance accounting for the largest share at Rs 1,373 crore, followed by health insurance at Rs 436 crore and crop insurance at Rs. 312 crore. Smaller contributions came from the fire, marine, and miscellaneous segments.
Go Digit is net premium revenue for the year was Rs. 8,046 crore, of which Rs. 5,424 crore was from vehicle insurance. Crop insurance generated Rs. 652 crore, while health insurance, which covered government, corporate, and retail businesses, added Rs. 1,664 crore. Together, the various insurance segments provided Rs 184 crore, while the fire and marine insurance segments contributed Rs. 119 crore and Rs. 9.8 crore, respectively.
In terms of expenses, commissions and brokerage fees went up from Rs. 499 crore in Q4 FY24 to Rs. 598 crore, a 20 percent rise. Benefits for employees also declined, with costs coming to Rs. 56 crore in Q4 of FY25.
The amount of claims that the company paid out increased from Rs. 1075 crore in Q4 FY24 to Rs. 1,353 crore in Q4 FY25. The amount of unpaid claims also changed, rising to Rs. 365 crore throughout that time.
In Q4 FY25, the company's overall expenses increased by 10 percent to Rs. 2426 crore. In the meantime, the fiscal year that ended in March 2024 saw an 11 percent increase in overall expenses, reaching Rs. 8865 crore.
Go Digit’s profit doubled to Rs. 116 crore in Q4 FY25 from Rs. 53 crore in Q4 FY24. Fiscally speaking, the company's profit climbed from Rs. 182 crore in FY24 to Rs. 425 crore in FY25, a 133 percent rise. Go Digit is stock was up 4.3 percent at the end of trade on April 28, 2025, closing at Rs. 311.5.
