Insurance Samadhan has announced a new partnership with CanHeal (CanHeal Community Center), a community-led support platform for cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers. The collaboration has been formed to help individuals facing cancer navigate insurance-related challenges at any stage of their treatment. It brings together Insurance Samadhan’s expertise in resolving insurance issues with CanHeal’s strong on-ground network of patient engagement. The initiative officially begins this month and will be rolled out across online and offline channels.
The partnership aims to address the growing problem of claim delays, rejections, and confusion about policy coverage that many cancer patients experience. It was created to offer timely assistance, clear information, and direct access to expert guidance, helping families understand their rights and secure the financial support they are entitled to. Through this joint effort, patients will be able to reach Insurance Samadhan’s specialists via CanHeal’s community programs, while both organisations work together to build awareness on how to handle insurance hurdles during treatment.
Data from recent national cancer registry and data tabled in Rajya Sabha indicates the estimated cancer incidence for 2024 was 15.33 lakh new cases (1.533 million). Among women, cancers such as breast and cervical cancer remain the most common, CMR-NCRP reports also confirm the same. Given this large burden—where a significant proportion affects female patients—this collaboration aims to make a real difference. In a first phase, Insurance Samadhan and CanHeal jointly aim to reach out to and support at least 10,000 cancer patients and caregivers nationwide, offering them insurance guidance and claim-resolution support through community and hospital outreach.
Speaking about the initiative, Anchal Sharma, Founder of CanHeal, said, “In almost every support conversation we hold, we hear stories of people who are unsure about what their insurance covers or feel lost when a claim is delayed. These issues add unnecessary stress to families already dealing with the weight of a cancer diagnosis. This partnership gives our community practical access to experts who can guide them with clarity and confidence. Our focus is to make sure every patient gets the support they rightfully deserve, without feeling alone or helpless in the process.”
Sharing her perspective, Shilpa Arora, COO and Co-Founder- Insurance Samadhan, said, “Cancer treatment is overwhelming on its own, and insurance complications should never stand in the way of someone’s care. By collaborating with CanHeal, we hope to reach people exactly when they need guidance the most. Our goal is to resolve claim issues quickly, simplify complex processes, and ensure patients receive the financial protection they paid for. This partnership reinforces our commitment to building an informed and empowered patient community.”
In the coming months, the collaboration will include awareness sessions, community engagement, digital content, and hospital outreach. Patients will be able to access help for claim disputes, understand their policy terms, and receive step-by-step assistance when facing delays or denials. CanHeal will continue to integrate insurance literacy into its survivor meetups and caregiver circles, while Insurance Samadhan will offer structured case-handling support.

This partnership is part of Insurance Samadhan’s broader effort to expand insurance awareness and reach communities that often struggle with paperwork and complex claim regulations. The organisation has been forging meaningful collaborations to address these issues on a larger scale. Its recent initiatives include a nationwide awareness partnership with similar community led initiatives, and the new collaboration with CanHeal builds further momentum toward making insurance processes transparent and patient-friendly.
With both organisations working together, the initiative reinforces a shared message to patients and caregivers across India: support is available, guidance is accessible, and no one should lose access to treatment because of insurance hurdles.
