Paytm, One 97 Communications Limited, India’s full stack merchant payments leader serving MSMEs and enterprises, and a leading financial services distribution company, and the pioneer of mobile payments, QR codes, and Soundbox, today announced the launch of jewellery on Paytm in partnership with CaratLane, India’s leading omnichannel jewellery brand and a wholly owned subsidiary of Titan Company Limited.
Key Highlights
- Offers jewellery across everyday wear, gifting, weddings and festive occasions, with designs across multiple categories and price points.
- Allows Paytm Digital Gold to be used towards purchases, with the balance payable through Paytm UPI, cards, net banking or other payment options.
- Provides home delivery across CaratLane serviceable pin codes, with order tracking and purchase details available on Paytm.
CaratLane designs across rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces, bangles and bracelets, among others, are available through the partnership. Pricing, including applicable making charges and GST, is shown before purchase, providing clarity on the total payable amount. Jewellery can be purchased using Paytm UPI, credit or debit cards, net banking and other available payment options. Additionally, Paytm Digital Gold can also be used towards the purchase, with any remaining amount payable separately.
From everyday jewellery and gifting to weddings, festivals and special occasions, Paytm Digital Gold creates an integrated online jewellery shopping experience from selection to delivery. CaratLane manages packaging, fulfilment and home delivery across its serviceable pin codes, while order confirmation, tracking and purchase details are available on Paytm.
The partnership combines Paytm’s payments and digital gold capabilities with CaratLane’s jewellery expertise and fulfilment network. It creates an integrated jewellery purchase journey while adding a new commerce use case for Paytm Digital Gold and an additional digital distribution channel for CaratLane.
Veer Mishra, Vice President, Paytm said, “We are introducing jewellery shopping on Paytm with CaratLane to extend Paytm Digital Gold from saving to jewellery purchases. Gold has always held a special place in India, and accumulated Paytm Digital Gold can now be used towards CaratLane jewellery, with a wide choice of designs across price points and the flexibility to pay the balance through other payment options.”
Saumen Bhaumik, Managing Director, CaratLane, said, "Gold shouldn’t just sit idle. It should be worn, gifted, and celebrated. Partnering with Paytm allows millions of Digital Gold holders to effortlessly convert their savings into timeless CaratLane designs. We are bridging the gap between digital wealth creation and physical luxury, giving our customers total freedom over how they spend and sparkle."
Paytm also enables saving in digital gold and silver through one-time purchases as well as daily, weekly and monthly SIPs. Paytm Digital Gold is 24K pure gold fulfilled by MMTC-PAMP, with the underlying gold securely stored in insured vaults. Digital gold and silver purchases attract applicable GST, but do not carry and making/wastage charges (unlike jewellery purchases), offering a simple way to build precious metal holdings over time.
