The cocaine ring seized by Delhi authorities's special cell recently expanded when authorities discovered another cargo of drugs worth Rs 2,400 crore during a raid in west Delhi.

Special Commissioner RP Upadhyay informed TOI, "We recovered another consignment containing 200kg of cocaine from a godown in the Ramesh Nagar area. A special team is looking into the network." The handler, a UK resident, is believed to have returned to London.

Cocaine haul: Police look for distributors

With the latest seizure in west Delhi, cops have made an unprecedented recovery of Colombian cocaine worth approximately 9,000 crore to date. This is the largest drug recovery made by any unit in the country.

Cops have issued a lookout notice for Savinder, who is said to have fled to London shortly after the ring was exposed.

According to Pramod Kushwaha, assistant CP of special cell, Veeru alias Virender Basoiya, a Dubai-based organization, was coordinating the delivery of this narcotics shipment with two other foreign-based participants. "As the latest consignment was massive, Veeru had asked the two UK counterparts to go to Delhi and handle the affairs smoothly with help from Goyal," Kushwaha said, adding that both UK residents were unlikely to know each other.

Police are looking for the distributors who were supposed to pick up the cargo from the UK nationals. Some famous personalities in the entertainment world are alleged to be involved. The cocaine had been stored by the cartel for use at future concerts and music festivals in Delhi, Mumbai, and Goa, sources claimed.

The operation was uncovered after cops began investigating a tip from a central intelligence agency in August. "On October 1, the crew obtained precise information on the arrival of a significant cargo of drugs at a Goyal-owned godown in Mahipalpur, south Delhi. As a result, a large amount of cocaine and hydroponic marijuana were confiscated from the accused and the godown," special CP Upadhyaya stated.
