    SBI to Revise Credit Card Rules Effective 16 September 2025

    According to SBI Cards, all CPP customers will be automatically switched to the updated plan variants based on their individual renewal due dates starting on September 16, 2025.

    The migration will begin on September 16 and will be announced via email or SMS at least 24 hours before the plan renewal deadline.

    SBI Cards has announced revised card protection plans effective from 16 September 2025. These plans—Classic, Premium, and Platinum—offer benefits such as single-call card blocking, SIM card blocking, emergency travel assistance (with advances ranging from ₹80,000 to ₹160,000 for hotels and ticket replacements abroad), and access to the Credit Fit Program.

    Fraud protection covers PIN-based, phishing, and tele-phishing frauds up to ₹1,00,000 for 30 days prior to notification, while complimentary fraud protection offers coverage up to ₹25,000 and ₹1,00,000 depending on transaction type. Mobile wallet protection is available up to ₹50,000 per membership. Membership covers one member under Classic (₹999), two members under Premium (₹1,499), and four members under Platinum (₹1,999).

    Additionally, SBI Cards announced that the Lifestyle Home Center SBI Card, Lifestyle Home Center SBI Card SELECT, and Lifestyle Home Center SBI Card PRIME will no longer accrue Reward Points for purchases made on digital gaming platforms/merchants and government-related transactions as of September 1, 2025.
