UPI transactions may be made possible in 192 countries thanks to the UPI–UPU Integration Project, which was recently unveiled at the 28th Universal Postal Congress in Dubai.
At the 28th Universal Postal Congress in Dubai, Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Minister of Communications and Development of the North Eastern Region, unveiled the UPI–UPU Integration project, a historic endeavor that will revolutionize cross-border remittances for millions of people globally.

The program, which was created by the Universal Postal Union (UPU), NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), and the Department of Posts (DoP), combines the speed and affordability of UPI with the reach of the postal network by integrating India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) with the UPU Interconnection Platform (IP).
During this cycle, Scindia committed $10 million in funding to transform technology into innovation, with a particular emphasis on digital payments and e-commerce. He reaffirmed how India is prepared with resources, knowledge, and friendship, repeating the motto of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas."
Reiterating its dedication to creating a connected, inclusive, and sustainable future for the international postal community, Scindia also announced India's candidacy for the UPU's Council of Administration and Postal Operations Council.

An innovative effort to transform international remittances to India is the UPI-UPU Integration project.
