Piper Serica and TurboStart led a $2.5 million pre-seed funding round for spacetech startup Xovian Aerospace, with Inflection Point Ventures (IPV) and Eaglewings Ventures also participating.
Key Highlights
- Bengaluru-based Xovian Aerospace secures $2.5 million in pre‑seed funding, led by Piper Serica and TurboStart.
- Funds will support development of AI‑native radio frequency satellite infrastructure for geospatial and signal intelligence.
The funds will be utilized to facilitate space trials scheduled for the end of the year and to support the development of AI-native radio frequency (RF) satellite infrastructure.
In contrast to conventional satellites that only use optical data, Xovian is constructing a constellation of RF nanosatellites that provide real-time signal intelligence by capturing and decoding dynamic signals.
By offering continuous RF data fused with AI-powered decision intelligence, its platform supports sectors like weather forecasting, oil and gas, maritime, aviation, and defense.
Low-latency, high-fidelity insights are provided by Xovian's vertically integrated model, which is reportedly able to produce up to six times more data value per dollar than traditional systems. Pilot talks are currently taking place in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
