Founder and Group CEO Amir Nagammy said the company aims to act as a “cross-border bridge” for customers connected with India. About 60% of the company’s business and revenue currently comes from India. The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the US are its other major markets.

Wizz Financial Expands Beyond Remittances
The company is targeting the Indian diaspora and customers within India rather than focusing only on money sent into the country. Its India operations operate under the Wizzmoni brand and are headquartered in Kochi, Kerala.
Wizz Financial took over the former Unimoni business in June 2025. The group now has more than 2,600 employees and 368 branches across 21 Indian states. Its India disbursements increased to ₹623 crore in FY25 from ₹525 crore in FY24. However, net profit declined to ₹9 crore from ₹31 crore during the same period.

The company has also expanded its digital offering. It connected its cross-border payments platform with UPI, enabling foreign nationals to make payments in India without a SIM. It has also introduced prepaid transactions in 35 currencies.
Beyond payments, Wizz Financial is entering wealth management. It is adding mutual funds and insurance products and has partnered with Aviva Life Insurance. It is also working with two major mutual fund houses on products for foreign investors.
The company is preparing Wizz Live, a feature aimed at free inter-family cross-border transactions and remittances. It is also setting up a presence in GIFT City, with its first products there expected in the second quarter of 2027.
Lending and IPO Plans Take Shape
Payments and remittances currently contribute around 70% of Wizz Financial’s revenue, while lending accounts for the remaining 30%. The company wants payments to remain its largest revenue source.
Its lending business began with gold loans in 2019 and has expanded into secured products such as loans against mutual funds. Gold loans remain the largest segment, with a book of around ₹2,000 crore. The company aims to increase this to around ₹4,500 crore by next year.
Looking ahead, Wizz Financial plans to raise significant working capital in 2027. This will be followed by an IPO at the beginning of 2029. The company is also working with advisors on redomiciling the group in India.
The fintech plans to hire around 50 more employees over the next year. The hiring will support digital expansion, product development, and distribution.
