Air India Express has launched a special ‘Freedom Sale’ to celebrate India’s 79th Independence Day, offering nearly 50 lakh seats starting from ₹1,279 on domestic routes and ₹4,279 on international routes.

The booking window is open until August 15, 2024, for travel between August 19, 2024, and March 31, 2026, covering India’s busiest festive season, including Onam, Durga Puja, Deepawali, and Christmas.
The sale opens exclusively on the airline’s website and mobile app from August 10, and on all major booking channels from August 11 to 15. Travelers can choose from multiple fare options—‘Xpress Lite’ for zero check-in baggage, ‘Xpress Value’ with standard baggage allowances starting at ₹1,379 for domestic and ₹4,479 for international flights, and ‘Xpress Biz’, the premium cabin offering up to 58-inch seat pitch on over 40 new aircraft.

Air India Express currently operates a fleet of 116 aircraft and runs more than 500 daily flights, connecting 38 domestic and 17 international destinations. The airline said the Freedom Sale reflects its commitment to making air travel more accessible, affordable, and comfortable while expanding its network and service offerings.
