Maharashtra, on the other hand, is the top state, with the next five states in the statistics being Karnataka, Haryana, Delhi, and Gujarat. Axis Bank's Burgundy Private and Hurun India have partnered to create the 2024 Burgundy Private Hurun India 500.

The Top 5 Cities That Create Value

With 154 businesses, Mumbai, the financial center of India, is at the top of the list and produced a value of over ₹1.54 crore in 2024. According to the data, this represents a 37% rise over the previous year, even though there were two less companies.

Bengaluru, a garden city and IT powerhouse, came in second on the list with 44 businesses that made over ₹25.48 lakh in 2024. This indicates a 17 percent year-over-year (YoY) increase with 17 fewer enterprises. Out of 37 enterprises, New Delhi, the nation's capital, placed in the top three with a value generation of ₹23.81 crore in 2024. According to data, the value has climbed by 60% year over year despite the loss of two firms.

Interestingly, since last year, all three of the top cities have remained on the Hurun 500 list of the best cities for creating value. With 36 enterprises generating ₹19.61 crore in 2024, Gurugram has risen one spot to take fourth place. Compared to the previous year, there are three less, but they made 88% more.
